Grandmother Speaks
Grandmother appeared to me in meditation about fifteen years ago as an incredibly old, petite, Native American woman, lines and stories etched into her face. She has been and probably always will be my favorite Guide. About seven years ago Grandmother announced that we would be writing a book. So the next morning when entering meditation I was prepared with pen and paper. Ever since then, Grandmother and other Guides have spoken and I have written. This resulted in the manuscript Grandmother Speaks which is quoted on my websites and very soon to be in print!

So much of my personal work with Grandmother was centered upon her teaching me to claim my power and recognize my personal worth. Grandmother taught me to take part in my own life and decide what it was that I wanted, not what others wanted for me. She always said; “Claim your own life so that no one else claims it for you.”
Another saying she was fond of; “Every step in honor.” Grandmother spoke a lot about our ancestors, how they laid out our footsteps for us, and how our footsteps would be followed by those who followed us, just as we followed our ancestors. “Every step in honor,” made me realize the varied depths of life here on earth, how connected we are, and how every step counts.
Grandmother also taught me to leave in the past what belonged there. So much that happened in my childhood needed to be healed and she taught me to bless it in the light and then thank God for the present moment, because it is in the present moment that I claim my power, thereby lessening the power the past might hold over me. Thank you God for that was then and this is now became the cornerstone of my healing journey. She had me use that statement over and over because it truly helped me to let go of my past, including childhood.
Meditation was also stressed by Grandmother. For me that is the only way I can access her and the other Guides, and I freely acknowledge the direct impact it has on my life, both in my happiness and emotional balance.

Grandmother says, “The beautiful world of meditation with its light and silence begins in simplicity and wishful love. For is that not what you all seek, the glory of your beginnings remembered at a soul level that leaves you forever hungry for a repeat on your earthly plane.
Last night we talked about you coming alive, stamping your feet, awakening and then joining in and directing your own life. You need to practice this again and again until you are in control of your own life. You are a divine Spirit and no one can take that away from you. Demand what is yours. Demand that the heavens open, that they pay attention, for you are a divine Spirit born in all your glory and divinity. You were born with the knowledge that you are a divine piece in the universes pattern and that only you could be the part the universe needs you to be. No other person can fill your part. In Spirit you chose to be born, you gave permission and were created for your life. You have to remember this. You have to go into the silence again and again until you remember enough to feel the love and the connection. Learn to meditate with simplicity. Drop your barriers, your disbeliefs, your “cannot do’s” and accept the silence until it invades your being.
Imagine each of your abilities and beliefs as sticks. Imagine what you could do with your life if each day you chose to pick up your sticks (beliefs and abilities) and decide what you would do with them. Take for instance your stick representing will. You decide each day what to do with it. Do you pick it up and make the most of it? Or do you look around for someone else to accept your will? Each day, each moment, you decide anew what you will do with your will. In fact you decide each day what you will do with each of your beliefs and abilities. What today will you do with your sticks of meditation, beliefs, will, and the responsibility for a life you chose in divine love? What will you do with these sticks? Will you tap them in order to awaken and understand them? Will you choose to meditate? Will you choose the silence and the love within it? Will you choose us, your Spirits surrounding you, waiting in the wings to help you?
Take your sticks and tap them. Awaken and align them to the rhythm of your stamping. Declare your intentions, declare your demands, for you are a divine child born of the light. Take your sticks, offer them to Spirit, all the time knowing that your demands live in the sticks, that they awaken with every beat, that they shout for attention, yet thrive in the silence, for the silence is their playground, their place to shine, because it is in the silence that you listen..
Take your feet and stamp, take your sticks and beat, feel your blood stand at attention, for this is a new you. A you who accepts, a you who stands, who demands, who tells the universe you have arrived and you will now fill your space. You make your racket, you make your noise, you state who you are, for you are a child conceived of Spirit, and under the universal laws you are divine. You stamp, you beat, you glow, and your light burns ever brighter as you demand that all listen and the universe will then stand still for you, stand still waiting for you, waiting to see if you take your rightful place as a piece of the divinity, for are you not divine? Are you not stamping and beating and glowing in certainty at this point, all the time saying “this divine life is mine and I will not only accept it but I will demand and take it.” And Spirit will laugh and clap in delight for Spirit recognizes the divine laws and loves to see the play, loves to see the end result. Does not everything in the universe react to love in motion? So love is what you demand. Love, your most rightful heritage is your most rightful state of being. Who will turn away from the silence once attained saying “I do not desire.” No, the silence once found and truly felt will never be forgotten as it is a return to your natural state of being, a return to your true self. Find the silence, allow yourself to reunite with us, your own group surrounding you. We are love personified, as are you.
Rub your sticks together knowing that you are love and love is friction heated and released, healing and pacifying. Rub them together sending out your thoughts, your wishes, your desires, for again the universe will stand still knowing your desires, reveling in your beliefs, acknowledging the rightful laws, sending your way that which is in your hearts. Nothing is plainer or easier to read than your hearts desire. Look at your life and you see it. With what are you surrounded by? Don’t get lost in the looking, just observe. Then you can go into action, deciding your demands, for again what are you? Say it out loud, shout it out loud, “I am a divine child, thereby deserving of divine laws.” Beat your sticks, stamp your feet and shout your demands. Then you will pay attention as the universe stills, as it backs up while saying to itself “wait she has changed her mind, her demands, her life.” Listen as it cheers once more, laughing in delight, clapping its very own hands as it grants your demands. Universal laws, they work every time.
Will you chant with your sticks and stamp your feet and grow in strength and rhythm until you are fairly bursting with certainty, aware that the universe listens, that it heeds, that it collapses when you forget? Stand in the silence, listen for the laws and you will be surprised when they start coming in, when they whisper and you strain, so they whisper louder and you stand a little straighter, wanting to grasp the smallest whisper, afraid of what you will miss, for the universe is power, it is magic, it is all the promises you ever knew. And it will repeat for you over and over until you say “thank you” and mean it in all your understanding. Then will your demands become laws of righteousness, laws that lived long before your thoughts were born, laws that recognize. Listen in the silence for the universe talks loud and clear, believing you to be its master. Listen in the silence, allow your truth its voice of freedom, its rejoicing and its comfort because that is your greatest ally in the world you inhabit. Learn to listen.” Grandmother

Meditate in purity that you would attract the world’s love
Meditate in service that you would serve the world’s purpose
